Fireworks cause over 32,000 fires and more than $30 million in property damage annually. Following the rules below helps protect our community—and the natural surroundings we enjoy—from wildfires. Have a safe, enjoyable Fourth of July!
What fireworks are allowed in Ketchum?
Only non-aerial fireworks may be used in the City of Ketchum. These include:
- sparklers;
- smoke bombs;
- snakes;
- ground spinners; or
- fountains less than 20 feet high.
Fireworks that emit sparks more than 20 feet, travel in the air more than 20 feet, or travel outside a circle larger than 15 feet in diameter are prohibited in Ketchum.
