Emergency Flood Protection Permitting Application
The City of Ketchum, the Idaho Department of Water Resources, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers all issue permits for emergency streambank alteration work. Information on receiving permits from each agency is below.
Emergency work is considered temporary in nature; long term mitigation solutions may be required in conformance with city, state, and federal regulations.

1. Submit the webform application. Applications may be submitted by property owners or their authorized representatives, such as a contractor or design professional.
2. City staff will conduct a site visit and will approve the work as proposed, with conditions, and/or with modifications.
3. If an emergency arises outside of business hours, work may be conducted. However, a permit application must be submitted the next business day.
***This form should be filled out if you are doing any of the following: sandbagging, riprap, bladder/aquadamns, pumping of water from structure and/or other emergency streambank work.***
